Giving, tax, and donation disclosures
Thank you for considering a gift to Action International Ministries. Action International Ministries Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Gifts are used to support our charitable and religious purposes, including Gospel ministry, discipleship, missions, compassionate service, and ministry activities in the communities we serve.
1. Tax-deductibility
Contributions to a qualified 501(c)(3) organization may be deductible for federal income tax purposes, subject to applicable law and the donor's individual circumstances. AIMS does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice. Donors should consult their own tax advisor regarding deductibility.
For cash or other monetary gifts, donors should retain an appropriate bank, payment, or written record. For charitable contributions of $250 or more, federal tax rules generally require a contemporaneous written acknowledgment from the charitable organization for the donor to substantiate a deduction.
2. How gifts are used
Unless a specific gift arrangement states otherwise, donations are made to support the charitable and religious purposes of AIMS. AIMS may allocate funds among programs and ministry needs consistent with its mission, legal obligations, and any valid donor restrictions.
When a donor identifies a particular ministry, country, project, or purpose, AIMS will make reasonable efforts to honor that designation when legally and operationally possible. If a designated purpose cannot reasonably be carried out, AIMS may use the funds for a closely related charitable purpose consistent with the donor's intent and applicable law.
3. No goods or services provided for ordinary donations
Ordinary donations to AIMS are charitable gifts and are not made in exchange for merchandise, tickets, or other goods or services unless AIMS clearly states otherwise. If a payment includes goods or services and the applicable tax rules require a disclosure of their value, AIMS will provide the required disclosure.
4. Donation receipts and acknowledgments
AIMS may provide an electronic or written acknowledgment for donations. Donors should keep their donation confirmation, receipt, bank record, or other supporting documentation with their tax records.
5. Online donations and payment processing
Online donations are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment service. Payment-card information is handled by the payment provider rather than collected directly by AIMS through this website. The donation amount, donor information, and transaction details needed for acknowledgment, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance may be made available to AIMS and/or its service providers.
Third-party processing may involve transaction or processing fees. Any applicable fee treatment, if offered, will be presented during the donation process. AIMS does not represent that every dollar of every payment is free of payment-processing costs.
6. Refunds and corrections
If you believe a donation was submitted in error, duplicated, or charged incorrectly, please contact AIMS as soon as possible through the contact page. We will review the circumstances and determine the appropriate response consistent with our policies, the payment provider's rules, and applicable law.
7. State charitable solicitation requirements
Charitable solicitation and registration rules vary by state. AIMS will comply with applicable registration, exemption, disclosure, and reporting requirements in jurisdictions where it solicits contributions. The availability of this website does not by itself state that AIMS is registered or exempt in every state.
8. Donor privacy
AIMS does not sell or rent donor personal information to commercial marketers. Please review our Privacy Policy for information about how we handle contact and donation-related information.
9. Questions about giving
For giving instructions, donation receipts, designation questions, or other donation matters, please contact AIMS. Our legal name is Action International Ministries Inc.
